DANCE

Tradition and innovation

Evening of colourful Indian traditional and innovative dance forms at the Alliance Francaise at 7 pm as part of the 11th East West Encounter.

Dance festival 

Ananya, GML Cultural Academy has organised ‘Nrithya Dhare’, a dance festival on February 16 and 17 at 6 pm at Sevasadana auditorium in Malleshwaram.

Kathak

Abhinava Arts Centre is organising, ‘Kathak Sandhya’ on February 14 at 6:30 pm at Mangala Mantapa, III block Jayanagar.

Talents display

A cultural programme to showcase the talents of the children of Sharma’s Institute of Fine Arts will be held on February 17 at ADA Rangamandira, J C Road. 

DRAMA

Meet theatre exponent

Mary Ann, a freelance drama, dance and musical theatre exponent and an examiner for Trinity Guildhall, London will meet English language teachers at the AV Hall of Bishop Cotton Girls' High School, St Mark's Road on Feb 15, 3 pm.   The exponenet is to discuss the internationally recognised Trinity Grade and Diploma examinations that have a direct equivalence to school and college assessments in India. Disco with Daddy Cool

Boney M will perform at AMAZE 2008, the Indian Institute of Planning and Management fest of IIPM, at the Palace Grounds on March 8.

One Tree Music fest

Johnnie Walker One Tree Music Festival will be held at Ambedkar Bhavan Auditorium on February 14.    Jose Feliciano will perform on the occasion.

ART

Painting exhibtion
 
An exhibition of paintings of Gopal S Adivrekar is on at the Hatworks Boulevard till March 8 between 11 am and 7 pm.

Art on show

Five elements, an exhibition of paintings is on at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath till February 17 between 10 am and 7 pm. This show exhibits the work of five artists together.

Celebrating womanhood

‘Anarkhali Reborn’, an exhibition of oil paintings, celebrating love, beauty and spiritual power of Indian womanhood by Anjanna Kuthiala will be held from Feb 15 to Feb 22 between 10 am and 7 pm. The painting will be unveiled by Vani Ganapathy at WelcomArt Gallery.
