New block built for destitute elders

The Rotary Club of Cubbon Park (District 3190) on Thursday threw open a new block for destitute elders at the old age home Sai Kripa, off Magadi Road, Taverekere.

The block, named Sai Vrindavan, can house around 100 people at a time and has top-line building infrastructure, members of the Rotary club added.
Work on the Sai Vrindavan block was kicked off two years back and the total cost of the project is Rs 35 lakh. The block for destitutes was inaugurated by Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde, in the presence of Rotary District Governor Rajendra Rai.
