One arrested for murdering three members of a family

The police have been successfull in nabbing the murderer who had recently killed three members of the same family, according to the reliable sources.

The murders which were first of its kind in   Mulbagal city left people in shock and police puzzled over the where abouts of the murderer and motive of the murder.

Last week Lalitamma, her mother Munivenkatamma and child Anil Kumar where found murdered in their house in Mulbagal.

The accused Chalapathi (40) is a relative of the family and hails from the same village of Bypanahalli. It is said that on Friday night (last week) Chalapathi alleged entered Lalitamma’s house and tried to molest her. Alerted by the screams of the Latitamma her Munivenkatamma arrived at the place started scolding Chalapathi for his heinous act. Furious by the remarks  made by Munivenkatamma he attacked Munivenkatamma and Lalitamma and killed them.

The child Anil who was the saw killing was also killed by Chalapathi who feared that child might disclose this to others.  Chalapathi in order to avoid the attention of the police escaped from the place and was present at the hospital and funeral deceased to avoid the suspicion.

According to the known sources Chalapathi is said to have disposed the gold jewellry stolen from the Lalitamma’s house. Police is said have conducted a thorough investigation of even this.

DySP Dharaneendraiah, Circle Inspector Srinivasmurty, SI Rajanna and other police personnel have toiled to solve the case.
