Zilla Panchayat President M B Chikkanarasimhaiah on Thursday called upon the newly appointed teachers of Primary school to take pride in their noble profession.

Distributing appointment orders to the teachers at the office of the Deputy Director of Public Instruction during a counselling session, he said that the teachers should work sincerely and in accordance with their conscience.

Deputy Director of Public Instruction Bella Shetty, who spoke on the occasion, said that the teachers should have the inclination to serve in the rural areas.

ZP Standing Committee President R Vani, Educational officer Mahadevaswamy and Block Education Officer Ashwathaiah were present on the occasion.

The appointment orders of 175 vacant teachers post were distributed at the Counselling session Bagepalli taluk (46), Chikkaballapur (28), Chintamani (21), Gauribidanur (26), Gudibande (18) and Sidhlaghatta (42).
