Education sector is most sacred: BEO
DH News Service, Sira:

Siddartha Education institution education officer B Nanjundappa has said that due to the efforts of Bheeshma of education in the region H M Gangadharaiah lakhs of rural poor children have become literates and pursuing their education.

He was speaking at the 2007-08 annual day celebrations of Sri Ambabhavani Papu college in Tavarekere, in the taluk and said the students should try to excel in studies, sports and cultural activities.

The education field was the most sacred among all the fields and one gains wisdom from this. Earlier, the kind of social work that was going on included planting trees, building community halls and choultries for the poor and the travellers. However, the most sacred thing  now-a-days to do is educate people and make them independent, he said.

Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes Nagarajappa speaking said, the PU education is a turning point in one’s life. If the children work hard and pass this stage successfully, then their future becomes secure.
