On the first day, 1,500 students visited and enquired about the courses offered by 67 universities which participated in the exhibition.
Head, Education UK of the British Council Division, Dhanasekaran said he was overwhelmed by the response. “For the last fourteen years we are organising the exhibition but this year the response is tremendous. Around 1500 students with their parents visited on exhibition. We also have noticed an increase in the UK participants,” said Dhanasekaran.
He said about 800 students visited the exhibition within an hour of its opening at 2 pm on Friday.
Student Chinthan Sharma who had come all the way from Ananthapur, from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh said he wanted to pursue a career in animation and was looking for the best university in UK to study the course.
Nanditha from Bangalore wanted to pursue management course and was looking for a suitable institute.
