Booking to resume at rly station
Bangalore, dhns: The Passenger Reservation System at Cantonment railway station is likely to resume functioning before noon on Saturday. The damages inflicted by Kannada Rakshana Vedike activists have been set right and the counters are ready to issue tickets.
It was announced yesterday that the counter would be open only after a week. General Manager, South Western Railway Praveen Kumar and former Divisional Railway Manager Mahesh Mangal (now transferred to Bhuvaneshwar) visited the station in the morning and called for speedy restoration of ticketing services.
Visa procedure details on web
The procedure for granting residential permit and extending visas of foreigners has been hosted on the Police Commissioner’s website - www.bcp.gov.in. All forms can be downloaded from the website.
The applicant would need to approach the Police Commissioner only once with the application and required enclosures, states a release.
The facility will be extended to foreigner registration offices outside Bangalore soon, it says.
