Jodupala and Madenaadu villagers staged a protest demanding the repair of Sampaje-Kushalnagar state highway, at Jodupaala.
The protestors planted a banana plant in the pothole. They also sat on the road and started singing bhajan.
They said “iron laden lorries ply on Sampaje road. As a result, the road is getting damaged.”
Though PWD official had assured to fill the potholes, nothing has been materialised so far. They warned of holding ‘jail bharo’ in the future, if the road is not repaired soon. More than 500 vehicles were stranded for few hours owing to the protest.
