An information camp on National Horticulture Mission was organised jointly by Makaranda Self-Help Group and Horticulture Department at Guddatota Gram Panchayat premises.

Makaranda Self-Help Group President G S Nataraj speaking on the occasion lauded the department for responding to the problems of the farmers in the region. Farmers must utilise the facilities provided by the government, he advised.

SHG vice-president K V Vijayaranga said various departments must implement various projects for the betterment of agriculture. There was a demonstration on techniques to chase away monkeys. SHG secretary B R Narayana was present.
