With Bindaas, Puneet has once again proved his mettle as action hero with a comedy punch. Bindaas is a Hindi word which refers to one who is carefree and a chilled-out attitude. The protagonist of this film has the same traits.
The story is based on the time-tested formula of boy-meets-girl and falls in love but comes with a rider.
The story revolves around Shiva (Puneet) who is a petty thief and sells tickets in black to eke out a living. His life changes when he sees Preeti (Hansika).
The first half of the movie is hilarious as Shiva applies various ‘formulas’ to tame Preeti who doesn’t believe in love.
Some awesome action stunts coupled with dialogue delivery makes Puneet magnificent. Komal in comedy scene is a delight to watch.
Shiva who wants a dignified job to impress Preeti is trapped by ACP Vikram Rathod (Nasser), also Preeti’s father, who wants to put an end to their love. The second half of the movie has many twists and at times seems unwanted.
Nasser’s ‘criminal’ idea works out and in a turn of events Preeti starts hating Shiva. Watch out how Shiva wins his love back.
Nasser has excelled in his role. Though Hansika’s role lacks depth her acting skills are impressive. Bad boy D (Rahul Dev) has done justice to his role.
Suman (Saleem) has hardly any role to play, one wonders why he accepted the role. Lyrics by Kaviraj and V Nagendra Prasad are meaningful.
Gurukiran has given some foot tapping as well as soothing music. It is a Bindaas movie. watch it.
