Kamal took the singles title with an emphatic 6-2, 6-2 victory over Uttam Singh. In doubles, the singles champion paired up with Sharan Patil to down the duo of Ajinkya Pawar and Nikhil Reddy 6-4, 6-4.
In the girls’ under-18 singles, Nimisha Mohan eased past Rachita Sarda 6-2, 6-1 to walk away with the title.
Nimisha’s fine run continued in the doubles as well.
Nimisha partnered her rival in the singles final to get the better of Shalaka UM-Ravina Shetty pair 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 in a thrilling contest.
