Aishwarya R Bidri (Little Flower Public School) and Ridhi Rohit (St Joseph’s School, Mysore) clinched the girls’ senior and junior titles respectively in the second Match Point inter-school table tennis tournament on Friday.

Thamarai Kannan have it easy
Thamarai Kannan scored a comfortable 3-1 win over Bharath Mata in the ‘C’ division football league at the IISc ground on Friday.
Suresh shot Thamarai ahead 12 minutes into the game before Vinod made it 2-0 two minutes later. Shivshankar increased the lead netting the third goal in 45th minute. Natraj reduced the margin for the losers in the 69th minute.
AG Tamil Nadu clinch crown
AG Tamil Nadu defeated AG Karnataka 4-1 to win the Indian Audit and Accounts Department South Zone football tournament on Friday.
Vijay Kumar put Karnataka ahead in the second minute. TN pressed for equaliser and Selva Kumar levelled the scores in the 20th minute. Muthu doubled the lead two minutes later.
Selva Kumar made 3-1 in favour of the TN outfit with a fine strike in the 38th minute.
Muthu completed the tally when he disturbed the net in the 57th minute with neat strike.
Mixed luck for KSBA teams
KSBA teams had a mixed luck in the Gopal N Chugh handicap billiards and snooker tournament at the Bowling Institute on Thursday. While KSBA ‘A’ team defeated Bowring Institute ‘D’ 2-1, their ‘A’ team went down 1-2 to Vijayanagar Club.
