The Centre for Environment Education’s Certificate Programme in Environment and Development Communication (Distance Learning Programme) comprises intensive modules in Environment and Development accompanied by rigorous assignments that enable the development of analytical, research and writing skills among participants. The programme also aims to improve the quality of media writing and to develop among professionals as well as fresh graduates, the ability to communicate responsibly on Environment and Development issues.
Nature of Programme:
Students will receive training in communication and will be trained to write articles, features, and report on environment and development related issues.
The course consists of three modules, which includes a module on communication and two subject modules.
These modules are on varied issues pertaining to bio-diversity, water resources and protected areas.
At the end of the course, students will be able to analyse present information, have a deeper understanding of the subject and will be able to communicate well on environment and development issues.
Evaluation: Students are adjudged based on regular assignments submitted to the Centre. On completion of the programme, the student will receive a certificate from the Centre for Environment Education.
Eligibility: Professionals, graduates and under graduates. Interest in environment and development issues. Flair for writing
Duration: Twelve weeks Mode: Via email and/or post.
Fees: Students can opt for study material by e-mail or by post. The course fee is Rs. 3000 for Indian students opting by e-mail. Students opting for material by post will be charged Rs. 3500. The mode of communication for feedback and queries is through e-mail. For students other than Indian nationals the fee is 300 USD.
