Many to join Congress today?
DH News Service, Tumkur:
The 'From people-to people-people awareness,' janondalan and District Congress workers convention will begin at 11 am.

The countdown has begun for the Congress Janandolan convention being held on February 2. The ‘From people-to people-people awareness,’ janondalan and District Congress workers convention will begin at 11 am.

There are many including an important JD(S) leader likely to join the Congress.

It is more or less clear that former legislator Rajanna (JD(S) will leave JD(S). It is no longer a secret that he met Administrative Reforms Commission chairman and senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily when he visited Tumkur.

Meanwhile, the district president just prior to the convention at a press conference had said that there are people from different parties likely to join Congress. However, the names of the people joining is still kept a secret. Hence, everyone’s interest is focused towards the convention.

There are whispers doing the rounds that there are lots of factions in the District Congress just when they have to face stiff competition from the District JD(S) and BJP.

But the convention in most of the districts are already over and the final stages of the convention is being held in Tumkur.

The Congress workers are keenly watching whether all the factions will come together at the convention on Saturday or the difference of opinion will explode among the ticket aspirants.

In the midst of all this the cutouts of national and State leaders are being displayed everywhere.
