The Lokayukta and the Upalokayukta on Thursday had a meeting with senior health officers and superintendents of government hospitals regarding providing emergency trauma services in the hospitals.

The Upalokayukta last year had taken a suo motu notice to a media report on an accident victim’s death while being shifted from one government hospital to the other and had instituted an enquiry into the alleged lapse by the hospital authorities.

Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde and the Upalokayukta Justice Patri Basavanna Goud met with Principal Secretary, Medical Education, Siddaiah; Secretary, Health, Madan Gopal; Commissioner, Health, Basavaraj; Directors, Nimhans, Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma & Orthopaedics, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences; Superintendents of Victoria, Vani Vilas and Bowring Hospitals, Director of BMC.
