Woman killed
Geethalakshmi (35), a nurse at Balamandir on Hosur Road, was found murdered at her Chunchaghatta residence on Thursday. The assailants had stabbed in her stomach and slit her throat. On Thursday afternoon she returned home and did not come out. Her neighbours reported the matter to the police. Her husband was away on duty when the incident occurred. Police said the murder was not committed for gain, as the criminals had not touched any valuables. Police investigations are on.

Police nabbed S Murugesh (25) and Suresh (20) on Thursday, who had stabbed a man to death a few days ago at Muneshwara extension.
Woman ends life
Mamatha (23), committed suicide by hanging at her residence in BTM Layout on Wednesday. Dowry harassment is said to be the reason behind her death. She was married to Vishnu Sharma, an engineer, for two years. Vishnu Sharma has been arrested.
