P K H Tarakan, advisor to Governor, on Tuesday inaugurated two dental chairs at the prison hospital at Bangalore Central Jail at Parappana Agrahra.
The two chairs, costing Rs 1 lakh each, have been installed by Government Dental College, where jail inmates were earlier taken for dental-related problems.
Additional Director-General of Police (Prisons) S T Ramesh said the new facility will serve 5,000 prison inmates. Henceforth, inmates will be provided with dental treatment at the prison hospital.
