Coal minister’s son kidnapped
The son of Union Minister of State for Coal and well-known film producer Dasari Narayana Rao was allegedly kidnapped by some unidentified people on Tuesday evening, reports IANS from Hyderabad. Taraka Hari Hara Prabhu (35), was kidnapped from a hotel in Chittoor, about 600 km from here.
Prabhu’s wife Susheela lodged a complaint with Chittoor police that her husband was kidnapped by four armed men who had barged into the hotel where they were staying.
No foreign travel for Chandraswami
The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed a Delhi High Court order allowing controversial tantrik Chandraswami, who is facing prosecution in a dozen criminal cases, to go abroad, reports DHNS from New Delhi. The controversial godman would not be permitted to go abroad till the disposal of the petition. Chandraswami alias Nemi Chand Jain, allegedly involved in funding the killing of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, was allowed to go abroad by the HC on January 31 on a condition that he would deposit Rs 1.2 crore as security.
