CRICKET / KSCA Group II league
Prakash century helps MICO register big win
Bangalore, dhns:

VS Prakash’s all-round performance was the highlight of MICO Sports Club’s facile 103-run win over BEML Sports Club, KGF in the KSCA second division (group II) cricket league here on Thursday.

Prakash hit a fine hundred to spur MICO to 210 for five in the allotted 30 overs. Gopal took three wickets for BEML to rein the scoring in the final stages.

BEML, however, was under immense pressure pursuing a target of that proportions and the constant tumbling of wickets did not help their matters either. After their batting heroics, Prakash too chipped in with two wickets as BEML were skittled out for 107 for eight in their full quota of overs.

In another match Karnataka State Forest Sp. Board secured an easy seven wickets win over BMTC Sports Club. In reply to BMTC ‘s 134 all out in 25.2 overs, KSFSB made 136 losing only three wickets in the process. Jayakumar (56) and TK Ananth (50 not out) scored half centuries while Vasudeva’s 5-29 helped KSFSB bowl out the opposition for a paltry 134.
