JD(S) has a strong hold in the district, including Kunigal constituency, however it is BJP and Congress which lost their image said Kunigal former MLA and district JD(S) President H Ningappa here.

He was speaking after inaugurating the taluk Youth JD(S) workers meet in Kunigal. He also announced that he would soon release a book on the development projects taken up by JD(S), he added. BJP has been thinking that it would win in the elections using money power and Congress is all making a big fuss over dividing the constituency and further postponing the elections, he added.
However, supporting the central government’s initiative of delimitation of constituencies to get social justice to all class of people, he urged the government to complete the work as early as possible.
State youth Janatha Dal executive president Chandrashekhar said that the development works undertaken by Kumaraswamy led JD(S) should be made known to the people and every member of the party should work towards making the public reach this information, Mr Ningappa stated.
Night stay
Commenting on Congress’ statement opposing Kumaraswamy’s night stay in the villages, he said that the Party’s Youth leader Rahul Gandhi himself has been doing the night stay, he added.
Tumkur District Youth JD(S) President Krishnappa, Kunigal Constituency JD (S) president S R Nagaraj, Huliyurudurga Block JD(S) president K L Harish, Kunigal Block JD(S) President N T Venkatesh also spoke on the occasion.
