The zilla utsav, which has come back to the City after a gap of several years has been a huge success. Thousands of people are thronging to the various art and cultural activities that are held every day as part of the utsav.
Deputy Commissioner S R Umashankar, Kannada and culture department assistant director K Sudhindra, forest conservation officer Parameshwar, information officer Thyagarajaiah and many others have strived to make the event a mega success.
Well planned
The planning and execution of the event are highly commendable. The authorities have made sure that the artistes are paid the honourarium right on time. Proper arrangements are made at the venue of the event so that people do not face any inconvenience.
The utsav has been a cultural bonanza for the people of Tumkur who are lovers of art and music. Dance programme by Renuka Bali and troupe, Yakshagana by children of Jagadguru Kripa Poshita Saligrama and music by Raju and troupe provided a cultural feast to the public.
The exhibition stalls and amusement park set up at the utsav venue are drawing huge crowds.
