Women dies
Kolar Gold Fields, DHNS: A woman who was set on fire by a man for asking him to return the money he had borrowed succumbed to the injuries at residence in Tatenahalli village on Friday night , under Betamangala police station.

Deceased Bhagyamma (35) had on 26 of last month demanded one Srinivas to return the money he had borrowed. But Srinivas instead poured kerosene on her and set her on fire. Since then Srinivas is absconding. The woman was rushed to a government hospital in Kolar Gold Fields. But as she failed to respond to the treatment she was brought back to her house. She died on Friday night. A case has been registered by SI Raghuram Reddy and massive hunt has been launched to nab Srinivas.

Lovers elope
Two young lovers have been reported to have eloped from KGF on Saturday and their parents have registered a missing complaint at the police station.

Billerhalli Venkatappa’s son Krishnamurty (21) and Deepa (19) of Kyasamballi had come to the road repair works at Parandahalli on Saturday morning and are said to be missing from the aftenoon of that day.  A case has been registered by SI Ramappa.
