World Cancer Day was marked on Monday with a public awareness initiative and interaction programme with cancer patients and their families and specialists at the Gokula Curie Center attached to the M S Ramaiah Memorial Hospital. At the forum, various doubts on issues like the types of cancer, stages of cancer, and the success rate of cure were answered.
Ten-year-old Ningappa, studying in 5th Standard, narrated his successful treatment from stomach cancer. The Theme of the World Cancer Day was “Second Hand Smoke is a Health Hazard for you & Your Family.
