'Party workers key to election win'
DH News Service, Tumkur:
"The Bharatiya Janatha Party is more concerned about the security of the country and the well being of it people, unlike the other parties who only seem to eye vote banks and politicise any issue for their benefit" said former legislator and State BJP Secretary C T Ravi said at the party meet that was held on Sunday.

The meet was held in Hebbur.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Kunigal constituency  booth-level BJP workers meet.

Weak Congress
He charged upon the Congress- led UPA government and said “terrorism is on the rise, there are bomb blasts in every part of the country and heinous crimes against India are on the rise. People still have memories of the Parliment attack. The Congress party has done nothing to help the situation. It is more interested in maintaining power and keeping itself in the seat.”

He called on the people to boycott any and every group that is a threat to National security. He added that the only way that these anti-national elements can be eradicated is if the people take a strong stand against it. “The BJP is the only party that can provide the country a safe atmosphere and therefore you- the electorate- has to help us come to power so we can help safe guard your dreams,” said the leader.

Ravi said that a clear majority and complete development was the motto of the BJP party.

Confident majority
He was also confident that B Suresh Gowda would win with and astounding margin in the Kunigal constituency and that BJP would rise to power not only in the state but also at the national level. “But for this to happen the party workers need to return to the public and help the BJP and the NDA to win the general elections” called the leader. He added that this campaign should be a revolution of sorts to create awareness among the people.

Protecting farmer
Ravi spoke about the rising problems in the agricultural sector as well and added that the farmer was the backbone of the country but for the last 60 years, the politicians had been trying to injure this important part of the country. HE charged that instead of protecting the interests of these people, the politicians were more interested in pacifying them and giving them false hopes.

To ensure that the farmers’ rights are protected, he called the people to elect BJP to power with an absolute majority.

B Suresh Gowda also spoke on the occasion and took the former legislator to task. “Y K Ramaiaha’s tenure has seen the development projects limp to its completion.” He also commented that while many of the politicians worked towards getting sanctions for their constituencies, Ramaiaha has done nothing for his own area.

The meet was presided over by the District BJP president Kiran Kumar who asked the party workers to knock at each door and let the people know of all the work and achievements by the BJP government. Narasimha Murthy, Kumaraiaha and Tara Devi also participated in the conference.
