B'lore boys triumph
New Delhi, IANS:
Boys Sports Company (BSC) of Bangalore defeated Delhi Public School (DPS, Vasant Kunj) 2-0 to win the ESPN-STAR Sports Junior Premier League, a national inter-school football tournament, and received the winner's cheque of Rs. 50,000 here on Monday.

The runners-up received Rs. 30,000.

Five zonal winners - DPS (Vasant Kunj), Haryana Vidya Mandir (Kolkata), Don Bosco School (Mumbai), Boys Sports Company (Bangalore), Hyderabad Public School (Begumpet) - played the national round

The programme runs in more than 1,200 schools across 23 cities in the country. The tournament is modelled on the English Premier League, and simulates the same environment with the teams named after EPL clubs. BSC was named after New Castle United.
