Tension prevailed for a while in a private school here on Monday, after the school received a bomb threat.
When the school opened as usual in the morning, the head master received a threat call  by an unidentified person that a bomb was planted in the school.

Immediately the head master alerted the police control room about the possiblity of a bomb in his institution.
The NEPS police rushed to the spot. SP Dr Harsha directed anti-bomb squad, vigilance team to examine the place.
Procedure
When the team along with sniffer dogs arrived at the school, the holiday was declared and children were sent home. After examining the school premises, however, the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax.

But the investigation is on to ascertain the details of the threat call.The incident has sent shock waves across the City. A special squad, under the leadership of Dr Harsha has been constituted to probe into the case.
