A week-long free diabetes health check up camp at the Navaprakash Health Care hospital starting Wednesday. This was announced by the Dr Kumar Desai working with the hospital.
He said that diabetes was now a problem even among the youth of the country and this needed to be addressed. Juvenile diabetes was a problem even among children and could start as early as 2 years. While the attention and the treatment would be given to the patients free of cost, they would need to pay for the medicines that will be distributed from the hospital. Since the medicines will be ayurvedic, there will be no side effects to them. Among the other illnesses that will also be attended to are asthma and medicines will also be distributed for them.
