Congress party is still strong  and nobody can weaken it said KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge here.
 He was speaking after inaugurating the people’s movement and district congress workers’ convention at Sri Basaveshwara High School grounds recently in the city.  The BJP on grounds of sympathy has been attacking Congress and trying to bring in a bad reputation to the party, he alleged.

BJP attacked
Former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused Yeddyurappa of releasing funds for only improved taluks such as Ramnagar, Holenaraseepura and Shikaripur though in the district there have been 7 backward taluks, he stated.

Former Minister D K Shivakumar said that the budget presented by Yeddyurappa has not been of any help to the people, he stated.

Contribution?
BJP and Janata Dal (Secular) have been making statements that they have contributed a lot to the country’s progress. AICC Chief Secretary B K Hariprasad questioned their contribution for the development of the country.
