South African coach Mickey Arthur has said his team would be equipped with spin options on their tour of India where they are expecting some tough competition from the hosts in March-April.
“I’m told spinners will play a huge part in Chennai and Ahmedabad and it could be a case of seam at Kanpur. But we will have to do some work on each of the venues,” Arthur said.
He said his team would have to be on the guard in the three-Test series against the Indians after their impressive show against Australia. South Africa play India in the first Test on March 26.
