Aussies to use Lee sparingly
After Shaun Tait’s sudden withdrawal from the game, Australian selectors have realised the need to “rest” their other speedster Brett Lee, who will be used sparingly during the ongoing tri-series.
Lee said he may get a rest at any time after the match against Sri Lanka in Sydney on Friday in the wake of Tait’s surprise indefinite break to deal with physical and mental stress.
Indian colts beat Karnataka U-22
A fine batting diaplay by skipper Virat Kohli and some tidy bowling by Ajitesh Argal and Iqbal Abdullah helped India under-19 beat a Karnataka under-22 side by 32 runs in a practice match at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Tuesday.
Batting first, Indian colts put on 261 in 48.5 overs with Kohli producing a match-highest of 75. Manish Pandey scored 49. In reply, Karnataka were all out for 229 in 49.3 overs as paceman Argal (3/9) and left-arm spinner Abdullah (4/36) bowled well.

Agarkar reports at NCA
Injured India paceman Ajit Agarkar made a whirlwind visit to the National Cricket Academy to do a follow up on his fitness on Tuesday, reports DHNS.
The Mumbaikar, who had suffered a shoulder injury, reported to academy physio Paul Chapman on Tuesday morning for an assessment. Agarkar spent three hours with the physio and is said to be declared fit. But 29-year-old, who flew back to Mumbai in the late afternoon, is likely to appear for the West Zone in the Duleep Trophy to prove his match fitness.
ESPN-Star moves HC
Broadcaster ESPN Star Sports approached the Delhi High Court seeking a direction to restrain TV news channels from showing footages of the ongoing India-Australia series in programmes other than scheduled news bulletins without its prior permission, reports PTI from New Delhi.
Chambers can run in indoor trials
Sprinter Dwain Chambers will be allowed to compete in this weekend's British trials for the world indoor championships, reports Reuters from London.
UK Athletics was opposed to allowing Chambers run because he has not been regularly drug tested over a 12-month period but IAAF has said he is free to compete. He had served a two-year ban for THG use.

Cameroon in semifinals
Cameroon beat Tunisia 3-2 in extra-time on Monday and set up an African Nations Cup football semifinal against hosts Ghana, reports Reuters from Accra.
Cameroon and Ghana, who beat Nigeria 2-1 on Sunday, will meet on Thursday in the first semifinal.
In the other semifinal, Ivory Coast face 2006 champions Egypt, who beat Angola 2-1 in the quarterfinals on Monday. Ivory Coast defeated Guinea 5-0.
