PEOPLE'S PROBLEM

Stray dog menace

We are residents of Pillana Garden, 3rd Stage, near Mediscope Hospital. We have been informing the BBMP about the stray dog menace over phone, letter and have lodged a complaint at the BBMP office of our area which is in the Arabic College. But there has been no response for the past eight to nine months. There are about 60 dogs in our area. They are a threat to our children. Action needs to be taken immediately.

Overflowing drainage

The drainage at Mariamman Koil Street is overflowing on to the streets. It is mixing with the well water of my house. I am not in a position to use this water for  the past two years. We, the residents of this street,  want the big drainage pipes installed underground to ensure proper flow of the drainage and wastage. The problem should be resolved. The BWSSB and Corporation authorities should do the needful. We are paying our taxes promptly and regularly. Is there a permanent solution in sight?

Civic conditions bad

At the Upadhyaya Layout, next to R R Layout and Bangalore University Campus,  the civic conditions are in disarray. Though requisite layout charges have been paid to BDA on 14.12.1995,  civic authorities have not done anything. The flats and houses have been built and sold to unwary customers and have been put to hardship by  overflowing drainage, making the the hygienic conditions unbearable. Roads are yet to be asphalted. Streetlights and communication lines are yet be installed in total. Power connections are accorded with corrupt practices. The sites left for civic amenities are encroached/compounded/building activities are going on unabated. The building activities are going on beyond their limits also. Finally, these flats and buildings come under the ambit of Akrama and building owners will have to hang around Sakrama activities every now and then.
