DCP (East) B K Singh said that the 21-year-old pilot from Ambedkar Layout had left the City, fearing that her parents would find out that she had failed to procure a job with a private airline.

Bindu had completed her pilot training at the National Aviation Academy, Sri Lanka, in December, and was on the lookout for a job. However, she had told her parents, friends and other relatives that she had landed a job with Lufthansa. On Wednesday, she reportedly disappeared from the City.

Bindu’s parents lodged a missing complaint at the Devara Jeevanahalli police station on Thursday, fearing that their daughter could have been kidnapped. But even as police launched an investigation, Bindu returned home on Friday morning. The girl confessed to her parents that she had been lying to them about the job.
Police said that Bindu took a Deccan flight to Hyderabad on Wednesday, and stayed there for a day with her friends. She returned home on Friday morning.

Suicide
A newly-married woman hanged herself at her Karthikanagar residence, HAL police station limits,  on Thursday.
Police said Komada (18) was found dead on Thursday morning. Her husband Srinivas is missing, leading to suspicion that he might have abetted her to commit suicide.
