Walt Disney (Walter Elias Disney), born in 1901, started working on ‘The magic’ at the tender age of nineteen. He created Mickey Mouse at the age of 27, inspired by the mice that came to the garbage in his studio in Kansas City, the USA. He even kept three of them as pets in cages and christened Mickey based on one of them. Walt made the first full-length animated film ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ in 1938 and thus opened a new chapter in the history of entertainment.
No one really knew what to expect in the first show of Disney Live on Thursday evening at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium. But when the young audience had a look at their Toon Town favourites — Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Goofy, they were in raptures.
The two-hour programme, brought to India by DNA Networks, was a colourful blast of magic and fun. Magicians Benny and Brad enthralled the crowd with their tricks. Cinderella’s rags turned into a beautiful ball gown and the enchanted dancing brooms in Fantasia helped sweep Minnie off her feet.
