The closely fought game witnessed rough play from both the sides. In the 26th minute, Hemachandra and Vinod of Mysore and Gadag’s Chandar Naik recieved yellow card suspensions, leading to unruly scenes.

Gadag struck first in the 31st minute through Vinod but Mysore drew level in the 40th minute through Somaiah. Mukesh doubled the lead in the 51st minute. Somaiah then sealed the match in favour of Mysore with a strike in the 56th minute.

In the final, the hosts will take on Hassan, a 2-1 winner over Hubli. Taranath (44th) and Dinesh Kumar (56th) found target for the winners, while Parashuram scored for Hubli in the eighth minute.
