Techie kills kid, ends life

 A Mumbai-based techie on Tuesday killed her two-year-old daughter and later committed suicide by hanging at her sister's JP Nagar residence. Her husband’s alleged illicit relationship is said to have pushed her into taking this step.
Nancy Samuel (32), an MNC employee, and her daughter Krutika had come here on Sunday. On Tuesday, her sister Martha, a schoolteacher, and her husband left for work. On returning, they found the door locked. They broke open the door and found the Krutika lying on the bed and Nancy hanging from the ceiling.
In a suicide note, Nancy has blamed her husband Samuel and another woman Mumtaz for her death. Police said Samuel, who works for a courier firm in Mumbai, was supposed to land here on the first available flight, but failed to turn up till late in the evening.
Wife ends life
Unable to bear harassment by her husband, a newly married woman set herself ablaze at her Begur residence, in Electronic City police limits, on Tuesday. Moon Moon Devi (19) died of burns at Victoria Hospital. Husband Dharmendra has been arrested.
Commits suicide
Shanta (39), a Prakash Nagar resident, set herself ablaze on Tuesday due to harassment by her husband Srinivas (50).
Shirts seized
CCB sleuths and police on Wednesday raided a garment unit in Hanumanthanagar and seized fake shirts worth Rs 32 lakh. The proprietor, Agarwal, is said to be absconding.
