Cop summoned
The HC on Wednesday summoned the CoD inspector in connection with the inquiry into a six-year-old murder case. The fiat follows allegations that the City police were trying to conceal the crime by not recording the statement of the eyewitness. Thimmaiah had filed an appeal saying his 27-year-old son Vasanth Kumar was murdered on November 28, 2001 near Hebbal lake.
He said a complaint has been lodged with KG Halli and Banaswadi police. Although eyewitness Subedar Major Gopi was willing to give evidence, police did not record his statement.
