Former legislator M T Krishnappa has said that in the history of Karnataka no other chief minister has done as much development works as former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.
“If the government had survived for another 20 months, then I would have become a minister and finished all the works that I had thought of and moved to the Lok Sabha,” he said regretting the dashed dreams.
He was speaking after inaugurating the road works under Suvarna Karnataka Grama Yojana in Gonitumkuru village in Turuvekere taluk and said this village was one of the few of which he was very fond of and added that he was responsible for getting the sanction for tarring of the roads passing through Hullikere and Kolala.
Then reverting to politics, he said only if the party is there will there be an individual and as there was every chance of getting a ticket to fight the elections, nobody should destroy the party. Even if the ticket is not given to him, he would still dedicate his life to party work, he declared.
Former ZP vice president Padmahanumegowda said this village was like his parents’ home and he was always happy to see its progress.
Later JD (S) spokesperson and advocate Muddegowda speaking said, seven villages in the taluk had been sanction the Suvarna Karnataka Grama Yojana and in that three villages of Dabbeghatta hobli were also included.
He cautioned the GP members not to bow down to the pressures of the contractors and see that the quality of work carried out was very good.
