Childrens literature conference today

St Aloysius College in association with Childrens Literature Association of India will organise international conference of childrens literature at Eric Mathias Hall in St Aloysius College on January 10.

Addressing a press meet, St Aloysius College English department HoD Dr A Lourdusamy said the conference will focus on ‘politics and polemics in children’s literature.’  Children’s Writer Deepa Agarwal will inaugurate the conference and will deliver the inaugural address on ‘Negotiating the maze conference on ‘politics and polemics in children’s literature—a journey through the politics and polemics of Indian children’s literature.”
University of Worcestor, England Professor of International children’s literature Jean Webb, Dr Andrea Perterson and Rachel Johnson will the key speakers of the conference.
As many as 35 papers will be presented by delegates from USA, England, Thailand, Iran, Sri Lanka, Philippines and India on different aspects of children’s literature. There will be an interaction with the children by writer Deepa Agarwal on January 10 at 3 pm. The valedictory will be held on January 12 at 3.30 pm.
