A sum of Rs 44 lakh has been sanctioned for the development of rural roads in Gonibeedu Zilla Panchayat constituency in Mudigere Taluk, said Zilla Panchayat member Jyothi Hemashekar.
Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, she informed that the funds have been set aside for the year 2007-08 for developmental roads and to provide basic infrastructure in the said constituency.
About Rs 3 lakh each has been set aside for repair works of B M Road to Hosapura road, Kirugunda, Uduse, Hottikere, Kanachur road and about Rs 2 lakh for Kennehalli, Billare, Kumri road development works.
Hantoor Village road repairs will be taken up at Rs 1.50 lakh, Jogi Mutt-Hanumanahalli road repairs at Rs 2 lakh, Padiya Colony road repairs at Rs 3 lakh and other important road repairs has been planned with the sanctioned amount.She also informed that additional funds will be released to provide drinking water facilities.
