Horticulture Senior Assistant Director Sathish has informed that 50 per cent subsidy will be provide to various machines that can be used in horticulture under the ‘Mechanisation in Horticulture project’ of National Horticulture Mission 2007-08.
Electric cutting machines, upgraded aracanut skin peeling machine and other machines can be bought at either 50 per cent of the cost or at Rs 25,000, depending on, which ever is lesser.
Many other horticulture equipment are also available at a subsidised price.
Those interested are required to buy the ISI mark equipment and submit the bills and other documents of the machines along with a prescribed application.
The subsidy will be given on first come first serve basis only on the 2007-08 model equipment only.
