Leaders Discuss West Irian
New Delhi, Jan. 9.
President Sukarno of Indonesia and the British Prime Minister Mr Harold Macmillan, met at a lunch which Prime Minister Nehru gave this afternoon at his residence.
The Indonesian President had earlier announced postponement of his scheduled departure for Bombay in the morning. This was done specifically to enable him to participate in the lunch and have informal conversations with Mr Macmillan on the West Irian issue.
Siroky In Bangalore
Bangalore, Jan. 9.
The Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia, Mr Villiam Siroky, touring India on a 12-day official visit, arrived here this evening from Poona for a two-day stay in the City.
The Indian Air Force special Viscount “Pushpaka” carrying the Prime Minister and party landed at 6 pm, 40 minutes behind schedule.

Ministry-Making: Deadline Noon

Governor Govind Narain has fixed 12 noon tomorrow as deadline for the newly-elected legislators to apprise him of their stand on government formation.
There was hectic political activity at Raj Bhavan when Mr Narain met the leaders of different political parties including the Congress(I).
