Cable problem
The BDA was informed about a manhole chamber that was not in order. The BDA handed over the complaint to BWSSB (AEE one Nagaraj). Under his incharge, the work was given to a local person, and on January 3, they came with JCB and dug the place. During the process, they have spoiled the electric cable connection to my house and a local electrician was called and temporarly repaired by them. On enquiry, it was assured that proper repair would be undertaken on 04.01.08 ie the next day.
Unfortunately, now they have denied their wordings. When Nagaraj was contacted to rectify the problem he asked us to go to the police station and file a complaint as he was not keen on taking the repair work though it was spoiled by them. When KEB was contacted, they have informed that the chances of grounding are there and hence have to be repaired immediately. The matter was taken to the PRO of BDA, AEE of BDA II STAGE, Banashankari, and the PRO of BWSSB. Till now the same is not rectified. I also like to add that I have already lost some amount due to the damage caused by these people. I having a family with a kid cannot take chance as it is electricity, and cannot get it done by local unauthorised person. May I humbly request you to help me and my family and save the life of people living here.
Action needs to be taken up immediately, and proper repair undertaken by authorised, qualified person so that mishaps of any sort do not take place.
Nandini Rao.

Link the road
We the residents of Vijayanagar and surrounding areas have been running from pillar to post to force the BBMP to complete the road connecting Vijayanagar to the new inner ring road, almost complete via Srinivasnagar (Pattegarapalya.) This road is vital for those going to the new international airport as the new ring road will link us to the Bellary road faster compared to the conventional over crowed route via West of Chord Road.
The most disheartening part of the work is that the water bound Maca dam and part of the bridge support is completed on either sides of the valley. The rest of the work of deck of the bridge and asphalting of the road is suspended for no reason. The traffic is moving on the new ring road and the benefits of the same will not be available to the deserving lot.
