Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) defeated Numaligarh Refineries Ltd (NRL) 3-0 to enter the semifinals from Group A of the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board football tournament at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Wednesday.
Jatin Bisht (22nd minute), Tarif Ahmad (23rd) and Manoj Raj Kanwar (54th) scored for ONGC.
From the same group, Chennai Petroleum Corporation (CPCL) beat Gas Authority of India 3-0 to join ONGC in the semifinals. Thennarasu (33rd), Muthukrishna Kumar (34th) and V Thirunavukkarasu (56th) were the scorers.
In another match, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) defeated Engineers India Ltd (EIL) 3-0 with Bipul Thakurta (4th), P K Shiju (33rd) and V P Balachandran (38th) finding the target.
