PROTESTS TAKE UGLY TURN
Bangalore/Hubli, dhns:
Protests were also held at Yeshavanthpura, Kengeri, Cantonment, Malleswaram, Kadugodi and Bidadi. Due to the protest Sampark Kranti Express delayed for nearly one and half hours on Wednesday....

The KRV Narayana Gowda faction members continued their protest against recruitment to D group posts in Railways in different  parts of Karnataka.
In Bangalore a large number of agitators stormed into the Bangalore division office, locked its main gate and created ruckus. The drama went on for nearly one-and-half hours.  Police had to resort to mild baton-charge to disperse the mob. The KRV men even created a hullabaloo inside the Government Railway Police Station. Extending support to the protestors, Vatal Nagaraj of Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha too staged demonstration near the DRM office.
Protests were also held at Yeshavanthpura, Kengeri, Cantonment, Malleswaram, Kadugodi and Bidadi. Due to the protest Sampark Kranti Express delayed for nearly one and half hours on Wednesday, the Railway sources.
According to a Hubli report, KRV men stormed the SWR general manager’s office in Hubli protesting against injustice being meted out to Kannadigas in ongoing recruitment rally. They damaged television sets, furniture, computers and name plates of the office.
Parties join: The JD (S) and the BJP too joined the agitators. The JD (S) leaders staged a demonstration at the Yeshavanthpur Railway Station and tried to stop trains. Two BJP leaders, Katta Subramanya Naidu and R Ashok too flayed the Congress-led UPA government at the centre for apathetic towards the interests of Kannadigas.
