Addressing a press meet on Monday, Mangalore University Physical Education department Director Dr H Nagalingappa said 38 teams are participating in the tournament from 10 States of South West Zone at SMS College Brahmavar from January 5 and 9. Eight qualified teams will participate in the All India Inter-University Tennis Tournament for women. This include four teams from North- East zone and four teams from the South-West zone.
MUDA former chairman Thejomaya will be the chief guest. Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa will inaugurate.
The valedictory will be held on January 11 which will be attended by Mangalore University Physical Education department former director Dr K V Shenoy and others.
