Law academy from Jan 12
Bangalore, dhns:
Soon, a law academy for providing continual legal education for advocates across the State will start functioning from Bangalore, said Karnataka State Bar Council chairman Rajendra Desai. He said on Thursday that the academy would be operating under the auspices of KSBC. The Academy will be formally inaugurated on January 12 by Governor Rameshwar Thakur. KSBC is hosting a national seminar on ‘Executive Discretion and Article 356 of the Constitution of India - Critical Analysis’ at The Capitol, Raj Bhavan Road here on January 12. Call 22868561.

Kannada: Lawyers to move Centre
Bangalore, dhns:
Members of Advocates’ Association, Bangalore will write post cards to the Centre demanding classical status for Kannada language. At a seminar here on Thursday on ‘Dr Sarojini Mahishi’s report regarding employment opportunities’, they also urged that Kannadigas be given reservations in the recruitments conducted by Railways and all other Central departments.

The results of D Pharmacy Part-I supplementary and Part-II annual examinations held during October 2007 will be announced on January 11 at 5 pm at the Office of the Board of Examining Authority (BEA) Government College of Pharmacy, Subbaiah Circle, P Kalingarao Road.
