The sammelana was last held in Mangalore in 1997 and in Manipal in 1960.
Alva’s Nudisiri, a Kannada literary meet was held at Moodabidri, which was inaugurated by novelist Vyasaraya Ballal and eminent lexicographer Prof G Venkatasubbaiah was the president. Alva’s Virasat 07 honoured Tabla maestro with the Virasat award this year at Moodabidri.
