As Congress party is losing its hold in many states across the country, it’s the right time for people to support JD(S) which has been working for the welfare of the country, said former minister K M Krishnareddy.
Speaking at the party workers convention on Sunday in Venkatagiri, he said, before making the city as Singapoor, people should be given basic facilities. He criticise former MLA Dr M C Sudhakar without mentioning his name. Roads are in pathetic condition, people are facing drinking water problems. It seems there is no end for problems of daily wage labourers and poor people. One should give importance to these things before making the city like Singapoor.
People are disappointed with the verdict they gave in the previous polls. Hence, they have elected JD(S) members in the local body elections. Party workers need to work for the party with unity, he added.
Recalling the past incidents, he said, “we have been following secular principles since the inception of the party, unfortunately, we had to join hands with BJP due to inevitable circumstances,”.
Leaders D Sadappa, Sreenivasareddy, Dr Seetappa Madhusudan, Sahfik spoke on the occasion. Some Congress leaders joined JD(S).
