CPIM activists staged rasta roko condemning the attack on dalits during the distribution of ration cards to dalits in Gangavati last week.

 They even demanded the suspension of Sub inspector who is said to have registered a case against dalits.
When the officials urged dalits to provide passport size photo during the ration card distribution, dalits staged protest stating that as it would be a problem for daily wage labourers. Hence, Police lathicharged on the occasion.

They even condemned the act of Sub inspector Kiran Kumar who allegedly misbehaved with the leaders who urged the authorities concerned to provide rationcards to dalits.  

They even demanded the suspension of Sub inspector and probe into the incident. Traffic was out of control as they had staged rasta roko near KSRTC bus stop for few minutes. CPIM leaders Gandhi Nagar Narayanaswamy, A Venkataram, Holur Shankar, Ambareesh and V Geetha were present.
