By uprooting the JD(S), which failed to keep its promise of transferring power to the BJP, Veerashaivas should do a service to the State, said former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. Speaking at the felicitation programme organised organised by the Chikkaballapura Veerashaiva Samaja, in Basavanagudi taluk recently, Yeddyurappa stated that the pro-people schemes introduced by his government would bring the BJP to power.
“If the BJP comes to power, we will take up welfare programmes for people from all classes of society. The party needs the support of all classes of people, and we will try to gain the same,” he said.
BJP state unit president Sadananda Gowda, district unit president Krishnaiah Shetty, former MP M Srinivas and Veerashaiva Samaj president K Vikram and others were present.
